I'm so sorry about Hammy Poo. Not to sound gross, but can you leave him outside in a "safe" makeshift hamster morgue until the ground thaws a bit in a week or so?
Oh no!!! You don't want me to answer that. We have flushed more fish than I care to admit! If I think of something more dignified, I'll let you know.
I'd go with the suggestion of putting him in a dignified place until the ground thaws a bit... :)
Yeah, I think the temporary "hamster morgue" is our best bet. He's wrapped up in a safe place on the back porch. It doesn't seem quite right, but I guess it's the best we can do...
